Wolborough

This church retains a remarkable rood screen which is considered to be one of the best in the West Country. The probable date is around 1520 and it is likely that Torre Abbey was responsible for both the screen and the paintings. The screen has been moved around a bit in the past but was returned to it's original position in 1879. The paintings have been repainted a number of times.
