The oak rood screen is the most spectacular feature of the church. It was built at the end of the 15th century. The painting on the centre panels is original and was probably done about 20 years later. It represents the very latest fashion in 16th century church ornament being decorated with early Renaissance arabesques and antique work instead of saints, apostles or prophets. The Green man image features a lot.
