Hennock
The church consists of chancel, nave, north and south aisles, south porch, western tower, a south Lady Chapel, a north Vestry and now a toilet in the base of the Tower.
The tower dates from about 1250 and the rest of the church including the screens and ceilure (decorated ceiling over the rood screen) to about 1450 when the church, with the exception of the tower, was entirely rebuilt.
The rood screen dates from the 15th century. It has been partially restored in 1956 by Herbert Read. The screen images have been restored by Anna Hulbert from 1977 - 1983. The figures at the south end of the screen are unfinished and may be paintings of members of the local congregation. Possibly some of the donors of the screen.
